This event was one of the most interesting events that I had the pleasure to attend with Global Learning. New York Times writer Caitlin Dickerson was able to give a guest lecture describing her experiences as an immigration writer during the current political climate. She was one of the investigative writers who broke open the children being separated from their parents story when it happened in 2019 throughout the government denials. This was an extremely informative event and having the chance to hear the behind the scenes work necessary for investigative journalism was amazing.

 

These events were always extremely interesting and diverse. Every Tuesday, there was a different topic with guest speakers and every topic was guaranteed to be important and attention grabbing. The Global Learning program would not be the same without these events. It was the highlight of many students' day.
