Reflection
Throughout my time attending courses at Florida International University and in my Global Medallion activities, I have not only expanded my knowledge of global affairs, but I have also developed a global mentality that has allowed me to be open to other cultures and their practices.

Global Perspective:

Being able to study Italian and attending multiple Study Abroad programs helped fuel my passion for learning and respecting the Italian culture. This also had the effect of making me curious about other cultures as well. Being able to share and connect to others around the world is essential in this day and age and I am proud to say that through these programs I have become a more global citizen. I am able to accumulate knowledge from different cultures and combine it together for unique outlooks and solutions to local and global issues.

Global Awareness:
During the study abroad programs I attended in England, Scotland, Italy, Austria, and Germany, I became aware of how different yet similar cultures around the world are to my own. Comparing all of these different cultures made me even more aware of my own culture and how I was raised. Since I was able to speak Italian, during the Italy study abroad I was able to communicate in the language of the country with the citizens and I got to see first hand how appreciative they were of me trying to respect their language and culture.

Global Engagement:
I have decided to continuing my studies in languages. I want to continue to master the Italian language, as well as, refine my Spanish. I would like to continue visiting different countries and learn about perspectives and cultures that differ from my own. Throughout, my life I will continue to remember what I have learned about global citizenship and put it into practice.
